About the Brand / The Challenge

Bubba’s Pampered Pedalers is a long running bicycle tour company that has been leading fully supported rides across the U.S. since the early 1990s.

When I joined, the brand hadn’t been updated in decades. The website was built in the 1990s, the visuals were poor quality, and the content lacked storytelling. The few photos they had were random and inconsistent, and their only online presence was an outdated Facebook page.

They had a single black and white logo, no brand system, and no advertising or social strategy. Their email campaigns were outdated and didn’t reflect the experience or community behind the tours.

The challenge was to modernize every aspect of the brand while keeping its approachable, trustworthy tone, something that would resonate with their loyal rider base made up mostly of retirees and long time cycling enthusiasts, while attracting a new generation of riders.

My Role

I led the full creative direction of the brand, developing everything from the visual identity and website to ongoing digital content.
I created their social media presence from scratch, manage their campaigns, design promotional materials, and produce all visual content for web, email, and print.

In addition to design and content creation, I’ve also attended several of their tours to film and photograph real riders and locations, capturing the energy and emotion that define the Bubba’s experience.

Scope of work:
Brand Identity Design · Website Design · Social Media Management · Photography · Video Production · Email Campaigns · Advertising Design

Creative Approach & Visual Identity

The goal was to bring consistency, warmth, and a modern design language to an established brand without changing its original logo.
I expanded their single color into a complete brand palette, introduced secondary tones and supporting typefaces, and developed a unified system for all digital and print assets.

Every new element, from color to typography, was designed to reflect the friendliness, clarity, and community that define Bubba’s Pampered Pedalers.
The result is a recognizable, flexible brand system that connects all of their platforms including the website, social media, print materials, and video.

Content Creation & Digital

Once the visual identity was established, I extended it across every digital platform.
I built Bubba’s social media presence from the ground up, created branded campaigns, designed email marketing visuals, and developed consistent layouts for advertising and promotions.

Each piece of content follows the same tone and visual language, keeping the brand cohesive across social media, email, and print.
The goal was to build familiarity and trust through design, storytelling, and consistency.

For most tours, I edit and produce Bubba’s video content using footage provided by the client, shaping it into engaging stories that capture the spirit of the rides. I’ve also filmed several tours myself, documenting the experience directly through original footage and photography.

Each video follows a consistent visual tone and brand style, focusing on storytelling and emotion - the people, the community, and the adventure that define the Bubba’s experience.
